i'm sorry it's been such a long time to reply, I havent been online in a while. For acrylics, you need to get some parchment paper, a pallet of sorts and paper towels. Wet the paper towels, lay down the parchment and make sure it sticks. This will keep your paints wet for a long time which is good since acrylics dry so quickly. As for mixing colors, that takes practice. To start you can do some color matching exercises with a color wheel and paint on a piece of illustration board. Get your head into some art books or color theory type books, they may help you out, then practice...a lot. let me know anytime if you have questions...
